TUSCAN FARMHOUSE

Alicia at Tamborine commenced renovation in March 2020 and is earmarked for completion late Summer 2020.

MATERIALS &
COLOUR PALLET

Our inspiration stemmed from designs coming out from the U.K., Belgium, and France, with more plaster, moodier coloirs, and warm woods.

ABOUT THE
PROJECT

Tuscany on Tamborine’ is a full renovation of an abandoned French Restaurant into a rustic Tuscan farmhouse on 10 acres of organic avocado farmland in Mount Tamborine.

Once complete the property will open for photoshoot & filming collaboration.

“I wanted Tuscany on Tamborine to feel authentic yet modern, layered but cool, inviting yet grand.”

We played with textural elements of the farmhouse including wallpapered washrooms, exposed rafters and beams in 10 foot ceilings and stucco walls in the bedrooms that added texture and warmth.

We have modern interpretations through out the renovation, from lighting in brushed brass sconce that mimmc candle light, to a farm house kitchen with heritage look Smeg appliances, yet a subway tiles laid into a one-off designed splash back that gives nod to the Traditional Tuscan farmhouse.

And the show stopper, a wall, of black steel framed glass, that is basic in its element for a modern farmhouse, however, it’s morphed the way the dwelling is perceived and make the property slightly unrecognizable.

We look forward to working with interested parties on collaboration on photoshoot and filming campaigns once the renovation is complete.
